2021 Erin Fall Fair Changes
The 2021 Erin Fall Fair will be required to make some important changes in order for the fair to run smoothly and, more importantly, safely for everyone.
Below is some important information we would like everyone to understand about this year’s fair. We thank all our visitors, exhibitors, vendors and volunteers in advance for their patience and understanding. If we all work together, we can enjoy this wonderful community event this Fall.
Is there a capacity limit on the Erin Fairgrounds?
YES! We will have a capacity restriction in accordance with public health regulations. There will be signage posted at each building and seating events and volunteers will be working to ensure capacity restrictions are managed.
Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance?
Advance ticket purchases are encouraged as walk-up entry will be available but based on allowed capacity. If we are at capacity, we will not be able to sell admission tickets. Please note – only debit and credit will be accepted as payment at the gate. We are unable to accept cash at the gate.
What happens if the grounds are at capacity when I arrive, even if I bought a ticket online?
If the grounds are at capacity we will need to close the gate until we are under capacity. This means that guests may need to wait until enough guests leave before they are allowed in. As tickets are good for any day, any time, guests can also try another time.
However, our fairgrounds are large and our capacity limits are sizeable enough that we do not anticipate this being a regular issue throughout the weekend. In all the years of the Erin Fair, we have not had many instances in which our capacity has been reached.
Please note also our capacity is subject to regular changes depending on the public health guidelines at the time of the fair. For example, we may need to shift from 75% capacity to 50% capacity. We will be tracking number of scans entered and number of guests leaving in order to know the capacity. If the grounds are nearing capacity, we will be posting regularly on our social media pages to try to get the word out so that our patrons can plan their trip as much as possible.
How much are the tickets for 2021?

Do I need to show proof of vaccination at any time during the Erin Fair?
We are following all Public Health regulations and, at this time, are not required to determine the vaccination status of our guests. The large hall which normally showcases our homecraft exhibits and café will not be open to the public this year and so there will not be any indoor spaces. However, the current situation changes regularly and this means that so do the regulations. If there is any change in this we will put out communication on our social media sites and websites.
How do capacity limits at seated events affect my day?
Seated events will be a big challenge for us for maintaining capacity. Access to the bleachers for track events will be on a first-come, first-served basis and when we are at capacity no additional spectators can be admitted until there is space. We ask for everyone’s cooperation and understanding as this could be difficult to maintain. We will also be broadcasting the track events at other locations around the fairgrounds in order to accommodate those that would like to view the event but were unable to get a spot in the bleachers.
Do I need to wear a face covering?
Face coverings will be required at all times while on our fairgrounds. We are asking all our guests to please respect this public health regulation and make every attempt to stay a safe distance of 2 metres from those outside of your household.
How will the Festival Gardens (aka Beer Tent) be run this year?
We are so excited to be able to host our very popular Festival Gardens again this year. However, we will need to operate it much like a restaurant or patio in order to maintain proper health and safety standards. There will be tables and chairs available. All patrons, after having their ID checked upon entry, will need to seat themselves at an available space with their family. Once seated, patrons may remove their masks. Masks are required in the Festival Gardens whenever you are not seated at your table.
What other safety protocols have been put in place?
a. There will be no exhibits in the Hall this year as physical distancing is a challenge in this building
b. There will be no café in hall, but the Homecraft team will be taking advanced orders of Apple Dumplings and pies.
c. Online virtual tickets are the preferred purchasing option, but tickets can be purchased at the ticket trailer using debit or credit only. No cash will be accepted at the ticket trailer.
d. Enhanced safety and cleaning protocols for our cleaning teams
e. Hand sanitizers are located at every entrance and exit to buildings and throughout the grounds.
f. Re-entry will not be available this year and stamps will not be issued at the exit to manage capacity.
