President’s Message

In News by EAS

When we wrapped up the 2019 fair we had no idea of what was to come in 2020, or even in 2021. Cancelling last year was one of the toughest decisions we have ever had to make as an Agricultural Society. We are so happy to be able to bring back some semblance of the community feeling we all get from attending the fair this year.

Having a combination of virtual and in person events is what we feel is the best way forward for 2021. Our Homecraft committee is once again providing pre orders for their famous apple dumplings and apple pies. They also have cookbooks for sale as a fundraiser which are full of amazing recipes.

Our main board of directors is planning for for several different livestock events and an educational ag awareness experience for fair goers. Robertson Amusements will be back with a scaled down version of their midway. Our entertainment will be all outside this year providing lots of room for social distancing while still being part of the show.

We as a group have worked very hard all year to bring this year’s fair to fruition and hope to be able to bring back that sense of community to Erin, while still following all of the guidelines put forth to us from the government and public health.

We hope you enjoy the show!

Brenda Lothmann, 2021 EAS President
