We, at the Erin Agricultural Society, hope the community and our partners are staying safe and doing well during these challenging times. Ontario’s entry into Step 1 of the Reopening process has given us hope that we will all see each other the Fair again some day!
There is still a great deal of uncertainty as to how quickly Ontario will progress through the recovery process. This will be determined by vaccine availability and compliance among other factors. We are watching closely the Federal and Provincial Governments’ announcements with report to allowing events like ours. We will also be guided by Public Health in making decisions regarding the health and safety of Fair patrons, vendors and participants.
To that end, no formal decision has been made regarding the substance of the Erin Fall Fair. It remains a possibility that the Fair proceeds as normal; and we are in no hurry to fully cancel in-person events. We are discussing options including hybrid Fair models and virtual events as well, should it no be possible to have an on-site Fair.
We are also planning community events in the meantime. These include our chicken BBQ, Drive-in Bingo, our Fair cookbook, and some upcoming EAS swag!
Stay tuned; stay safe; and we’ll all be together at the Erin Fall Fair soon!
