Class 28: Rabbit and Cavy Show

The Erin Fall Fair Rabbit and Cavy Show

Sunday October 10, 2021 in the Show Barn

Exhibitors to be checked in by 9:00am. Show starts at 9:30 am.

If anyone is new to showing and would like to enter please contact the show secretary for assistance with entries and we can also assist you on show day.

Judging and show rules for both Rabbits and Cavies will follow the Standard of Perfection set out by the Dominion Rabbit and Cavy Breeders’ Association. Memberships to the club can be purchased through the website www.drcba.ca or at the show. A membership is not required to show however one is needed to accumulate sweepstakes points. All animals entered are required to be in a travel carrier/cage with daily food and water supplied by the exhibitor.


TO ALL EXHIBITORS:

All Exhibitors are to enter using the North Gate Fair Entrance, on Dundas Street off Main Street (next to the Horse Ring) in Erin, Ontario. The rabbit and cavy shows are held in the “SHOW BARN” there is a sign on the barn.

All Exhibitors will be required to pay an admission to the fair either online or at the gate: Adults are $13.50 each and Children are $6.05 each purchased online beforehand. Gate fees are Adults $18.00 and Children 5-12 are $8.00 payable by Debit and Credit. The Fair is unable to accept cash at the gate for admission.

COVID PROTOCAL:

Masks will be required to be worn at all times. Proof of Vaccination is required by the DRCBA club to enter the exhibitor area for showing (children under 12 exempt).

These breeds have six showroom classes: Senior Buck, Senior Doe, (over eight months of age), Intermediate Buck, Intermediate Doe, (between six and eight months of age), Junior Buck, Junior Doe (under six months of age). They are also divided into colour varieties pertaining to the breed.

These breeds have four showroom classes: Senior Buck, Senior Doe (over six months of age), Junior Buck, Junior Doe, (under six months of age). They are also divided into colour varieties pertaining to the breed.

The following Classes are also offered: Doe & Litter – Utility, Doe and Litter – Fancy, Meat Pen (three rabbits up to five pounds), Single Fryer (one rabbit up to five pounds), Breeders Herd (one buck, two does).

Youth Classes: one free class offered to all youth also entered in the Open Show. Youth Showmanship, and Youth Pet Rabbit.

Entry form must include: Exhibitors name and mailing address, phone number. For each individual animal entered, include the breed, sex of animal, age group, and colour (variety).

$3.50 per entry ($3.00 for 10+ and Youth) paid on the day of Show.
