Class 38: Quilting

  1. All entries must be the work of the exhibitor
  2. All entries must be clean
  3. All entries may only be shown 2 years. Preference will be givent to new work.
  4. Soiled and damaged articles will not be accepted.
  5. All entries must meet the size requirements as stipulated

Prizes: 1st: $5, 2nd: $4, 3rd: $3

1.

Quilt – My first quilt by a beginner quilter, any kind, machine, hand quilted or tied, any perimeter of 200” (500 cm) or larger OR an article of quilting completely made by exhibitor under the age of 16 years. Prizes: 1st: $8, 2nd: $5, 3rd: $3

2.

Crib Quilt – pieced or appliqued, hand or machine quilted, perimeter of 200” (500 cm) or less.

3.

Lap Quilt – pieced or appliqued, hand or machine quilted, perimeter of more than 200” (500 cm), less than 300” (750 cm).

4.

Bed Quilt - pieced or appliqued, hand or machine quilted, perimeter of 300” (750 cm) or more

5.

Small Quilted Item . – will include table runners and toppers, placemats and candle mats, purses and wearable items, etc

6.

Wall Quilt – traditional or contemporary design, not to exceed a perimeter of 200” (500cm). Must have a sleeve or rod pockets.

7.

Scrap Quilt - pieced or appliqued, hand or machine quilted, perimeter of 200” (500 cm) or more , with a minimum of 50 different fabrics

8.

Theme Quilt or Quilted Item - “Covid Connection” - Let your imagination guide you. Please include a note explaining the design of the quilt in relation to COVID-19.
