All exhibit registration will be done through Assist Expo which can be done in advance by the exhibitor or at the time of the exhibit drop off. Registered entries by September 22nd will have the option to have their entry tags pre-printed and ready for pickup after September 25th. After September 22nd, tags will not be pre-printed and exhibitors will need to fill out their own tags. If unable to register in Assist Expo, please fill out entry tag and complete our form (included in booklet) and bring when exhibits are dropped off.

ALL ENTRIES IN CLASS 38 MUST MEET THE SIZE REQUIREMENTS AS STIPULATED FOR EACH SECTION. FAILURE TO MEET THE SIZE REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. ALL LABELS MUST BE COVERED.

OAAS ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP QUILTS COMPETITION

A COMPLETE SET OF ELIGIBILITY, RULES AND REGULATIONS IS AVAILABLE

The two championship quilts (hand quilted and machine quilted) are eligible to compete at the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) District meeting in November 2023. The winners at District proceed to competition at the OAAS Convention in Toronto in February 2024. If an exhibitor does not wish his or her quilt to compete, please state on the back of the entry tag. If the championship winner does not want the champion quilt to proceed, the reserve champion quilt will proceed to the OAAS Quilt Competition. Upon making an entry into the OAAS Quilt Competition, the exhibitor agrees to participate in any promotional activities related to the competition. Prizes will be awarded at the District and Provincial Levels.

HAND QUILTED CHAMPIONSHIP: RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Entries must be solely made and hand quilted by the exhibitor.

• Entry quilts must be a minimum of 324” (823 cm) measured on the perimeter.

. Entrants must indicate the name of the quilt pattern.

• The Grand Prize winner of the Hand Quilted Championship Quilt will receive an award of $500 at the Convention in February 2024.

MACHINE QUILTED CHAMPIONSHIP: RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Entries must be solely made and machine quilted (not using a long arm machine) by the exhibitor.

• Entries must be a minimum perimeter of 324” (823 cm). Article may be square or rectangular, etc.

. Entrants must indicate the name of the quilt pattern.

• Article must have visible machine quilting.

• The Grand Prize winner of the Champion Machine Quilt will receive an award of $500 at the Convention in February 2024.

Exhibit drop off is from 6-9pm on Thursday, October 5th and from 8-10am on Friday, October 6th. All exhibits must be at the Hall by 10am on Friday, October 6th to be considered for judging.

Exhibits Removal: The Exhibits Hall will be closed at 3:30pm on Monday. Exhibits will be available at 4:30pm for pick up. Closing ceremonies will take place on the Outdoor Stage at 4pm.
