Class 44: Junior Crafts

  1. Please include child's age so that it is visible when the entry tag is folded in its closed position.
  2. All entries must be the work of the child. Parents are encouraged to allow the children to prepare the exhibits without assistance. Encourage them in every way but remember that every bit of work you do for them defeats the objectives of the Fair.
  3. All pictures and paintings must not exceed 8 1/2" x 11" unless otherwise noted.
  4. Examples of any mediume would be: paint, markers, crayons, pencil crayons, oil pastels, bingo dabbers, chalk, ribbon, yarn, string, lace, feathers, buttons, pompoms, stickers, paper, fabric, noodles, shells, puzzle pieces, flowers, beads, sparkles, sequins, tooth picks, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, popsicle sticks, foam pieces, clothespins, wooden spoons, dice, play dough, felt, sponges, elastics, milk tags, gimp, items from nature, cotton balls, egg cartons, candies, etc.

Prizes: 1st: $5, 2nd: $4, 3rd: $3, 4th: $2

Ages 2 and under::

PLEASE INDICATE AGE ON OUTSIDE OF ALL ENTRY TAGS AND MAKE SURE ALL RULES HAVE BEEN READ AND FOLLOWED

1.

Ripped Paper Pumpkin - using pieces of ripped construction paper glue onto a pumpkin shape.

2.

Marble Painting - place a piece of paper into a box with lid, add paint randomly and marbles , close lid and let the child shake the marbles all around to make a picture

Ages 3 & 4:

PLEASE INDICATE AGE ON OUTSIDE OF ALL ENTRY TAGS AND THAT ALL RULES HAVE BEEN READ AND FOLLOWED.

Sock Puppet - using a sock and any medium and make a puppet that is ready for the show.

Painting with nature objects - using a variety of objects found in nature create a one of a kind print.

Ages 5 - 7:

Collage of New and Old Buildings - create a collage covering all of your paper with new and old buildings (May use magazines or pictures from the internet.)

6.

Paper bag Puppet of GrandParent - create a puppet of your grandparent using a paper bag (lunch sized) and any other medium , include a picture for reference.

Ages 8 - 11:

PLEASE INDICATE AGE ON OUTSIDE OF ALL ENTRY TAGS AND THAT ALL RULES HAVE BEEN READ AND FOLLOWED.

Pine Cone and Nature Wreath - Using any medium make and decorate a nature wreath ready to hang on your front door not to exceed 18” x18”

8.

Computer Designed “Thanks” giving card - using any type of computer program, design a one of a kind “Thanks” giving card not to exceed 4” x 6”.

Ages 12 - 16:

Corn Husk Doll - Using a corn husk create a doll and decorate in Pioneer type clothing.

Junior Photography:

Photos must have been taken by the exhibitor, Include one print only in each section mounted on construction paper with a one inch border. Not to exceed 5 x 7. PLEASE INDICATE AGE ON OUTSIDE OF ALL TAGS AND THAT ALL RULES HAVE BEEN FOLLOWED
